"Musical Energy lies not only within the dyamics of pieces or powerful
sound effects, but in the melody evoking or creating an atmosphere"

Julius DOBOS was born in Budapest, Hungary. He began studying
the piano at the age of five. After winning several competition
awards his interest turned to composing. Completing his musical
education in Budapest, he studied filmscore writing in Germany.
In 1995 he made his debut with a collection of pieces titled Mountain
Flying, which were broadcast by National Radio and Television.
Following several commissions for short pieces, music for TV and logo theme music
he composed and co-produced Connecting Images in 1998 at the request
of Nokia. Julius worked with Grammy Award-winner Martha Sebestyén
and the Budapest Monteverdi Choir. The CD was a great hit: it earned the Platinum status.
In the same year, due to the success of Connecting Images he
was commissioned to produce an original Hollywood-style score for Europe
Express, the first Hungarian action-adventure movie of the
90's. The filmscore became an instant success in audiences and at Film Festivals.
Julius got involved with numerous projects that were looking for his composing skills and style from different parts of the world: he produced original music for a radio-play about the Balkan wars, original
score for the US short film, Black Strawberries music for Thend and many more.
While writing music for film, the composer was also working to realize his dream, Mountain Flying, based on his debut work of the same
title. He recorded the album in 1999 with the 80-piece North Hungarian
Symphony Orchestra, the 50-voice Monteverdi Choir, and several known guest
artists, including Martha Sebestyén. The album became an international success and reached five continents of the World.
Producer Julius Dobos holds numerous records of firsts and he is the youngest feature film music composer in Central and Eastern Europe ever.
In the new millennium Julius continued producing music for films - both in the US and in Europe - and working on his own projects, feature releases. His experience as a producer and his composing talent are continously in demand in the music business.
