Peter
Pejtsik
- Orchestrator and Cellist
was born in 1968. He grew up in a family that had multiple roots
in music. His first music teacher was his uncle who taught him
how to play the cello and also started him in theory and music
history. After finishing at the Bartók Conservatory in
Budapest as a cellist, his main interest turned to contemporary
music and composition. Peter started a group with a couple of
friends in 1986, called After Crying, they have always performed
their own compositions. "After Crying is still my main interest
and field for most of my work. In 1996 when recording the fourth
album, De Profundis, I first had the chance to score for a symphony
orchestra. This had always been one of my dreams. Fortunately,
ever since I have worked more and more on orchestral projects
in different fields of music. Mountain Flying was a
great experience and I had the opportunity of sharing some fine
work with Julius Dobos, the composer."
