The global tour around Spatial Composition and Spatial Synthesis, based on the experiments and research by Julius Dobos, continues. After long-resonating events in San Francisco, Hollywood, New York and Tokyo, the first European tour brings spatial music demonstrations to Belgium, France, Denmark and the U.K. throughout November.
The first Spatial Composition: The New Frontier immersive presentations+demonstrations tour will include the following cities:
November 9 – Hasselt, Belgium (Bootstraat)
November 10 – Paris, France (Radio France)
November 17 – Paris, France (Paris Conservatory / Ondes Immersives)
November 19 – Kolding, Denmark (Sonic Days Conference)
November 23 – London, U.K. (Polygon Portal – Soho)
November 24 – Huddersfield, U.K. (Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival)
November 25 – London, U.K. (tba)
The use of space as a compositional tool during the composition process has the power to influence melody, harmony, rhythm and timbre, thus impacting the meaning and emotions of the music itself. Supported by research data and audience feedback, Julius Dobos’ work applies spatial synthesis and spatial composition techniques to bring spatio-musical concepts to life via a new type of musical expression. Attendees will experience the use of space in immersive compositions in Dolby Atmos. A sequel to the Europe tour is being planned for 2027.
The presentation events are generously supported by Eventide Audio and Dolby Creator Lab.
